Ramadan 2026 Fragrance Guide
Mijmara's Ramadan picks — from heavy oud for iftar majlis to restrained fragrances appropriate for taraweeh prayer. Every pick is calibrated for Gulf heat and the rhythm of fasting.
The Ramadan rhythm
Ramadan reshapes the day: quiet daytime sleep, abundant family iftar, evening majlis, then a subdued suhoor before dawn. Fragrance follows that rhythm. Daytime pre-iftar calls for something light and not burdensome on the faster. From iftar through taraweeh, restraint — either none or a polite floral-powdery. Night majlis is the golden hour for oud, bakhoor, and mukhallat.
Taraweeh prayer
Avoid anything loud, gourmand, or overtly animalic before the mosque. Favor a gentle attar: Taif rose, white musk, quiet sandalwood. The goal is a presence that’s respectful to the worshippers beside you — noticeable but never imposing.
Iftar majlis + late-evening gatherings
This is where the heavy scents belong. Hindi or Cambodian oud, a well-built mukhallat, a bakhoor layer preceding the guest. The ritual: bakhoor in the room half an hour before arrival, then spray on the thawb and neck, finally a drop of dehn al-oud on the wrist as a personal signature.
Eid on the horizon
As Eid approaches, people refresh their rotation. Expect to want two: one for the morning of Eid (respectful) and one for the family evening (celebratory, rich). See our Eid fragrance guide.
