A sharp jolt of black coffee opens this, quickly deepening into bitter cacao and a heavy dose of bourbon vanilla. It bypasses the sugary traps of the original, moving instead into a drier, woodier territory defined by patchouli and night-blooming jasmine sambac. The orange blossom provides a momentary floral lift, but the weight here is firmly in the amber base.
